Rebuild & New Construction

When a chimney is past
the point of repair

Some chimneys have gone too far for tuckpointing or a partial rebuild. We handle full reconstruction and new chase or chimney builds from the ground up.

Scope

New construction and full reconstruction

A new chase for a wood-framed installation, a masonry chimney for an addition, or a ground-up reconstruction of a stack that's failed structurally. This is where design meets code: height under the 3-2-10 rule, proper clearances, and correctly sized flues for whatever ties in.

We also evaluate appliance tie-ins during a rebuild: whether a new gas stove can safely share an existing liner, or whether it needs its own flue.

What this prevents

  • A stack too short to draft properly, which the 3-2-10 rule exists to prevent.
  • An unsafe appliance tie-in sharing a flue that was never sized for it.
  • Paying for the job twice because the first rebuild was not done to code.
Indicators

Signs you need this

A chimney separating structurally from the house, a chase that needs replacing during a siding or roofing project, or new construction that needs a chimney or vent system from scratch.

01

Site assessment

Structure, appliance needs, and code requirements all get evaluated before anything is drawn.

02

Code compliance

Height, clearance, and flue sizing built to current Michigan Residential Code.

03

Clean execution
