Cleaning, and a real look
inside the flue
Creosote buildup, blockages, and hidden flue damage don't announce themselves from the living room. A proper sweep clears it out; a proper inspection tells you what's going on before it turns into a repair bill.
Sweep and Level 1 inspection
Every sweep includes a full cleaning of the flue and firebox, creosote and debris removal, and a visual inspection of the accessible parts of the chimney, flue, and connections.
If something needs a closer look (a suspect liner joint, a damaged crown, signs of water getting in), we walk you through it and recommend a Level 2 video inspection before any repair work starts.
What this prevents
- A chimney fire. Creosote is the fuel, and it builds up every single time you burn.
- Carbon monoxide backing into the house through a blocked or restricted flue.
- A failed inspection derailing your closing when you go to sell.
Signs you need this
Smoky odor when the fireplace is cold, visible soot or creosote buildup, weak draft, or simply more than a year since the last cleaning.
